New Buffalo Middle School is excited about about the 2009-2010 school year because of the challenges and opportunities that are part of the middle school experience.  NBMS is fortunate to have an excellent faculty and staff, dedicated to serving and educating young adolescents.  Our goal is to provide students with a quality education in a safe and civil learning environment.  Nothing is as important as personal responsibility, but we know that a great team effort can bring out the best in all of us!

Advisory teachers have planned a year of learning and fun around the theme, NBMS (New Buffalo Middle School) Survivors: TEAMWORK, PRIDE, INTEGRITY.  Daily advisory classes stress personal responsibility by checking planners, listening to student concerns, and celebrating successes.  Approximately once per month the entire school pauses to do a "Survivor Challenge" that provides a real-life experience, turning good intentions into good deeds through teamwork, pride, and integrity.

The New Buffalo community has provided us with an extraordinary school building and educational program.  We understand that it is our responsibility to do our personal best in all of our school endeavors; to respect ourselves' and others' need to learn and grow; and to keep our school community safe and supportive at all times.
