Transportation safety is a shared responsibility with the
active participation of parents, school administrators, and school bus drivers.
New Buffalo Area Schools Transportation Department is
responsible for the transportation of students to NBES, NBMS, NBHS, and
surrounding schools for special needs students as well as transporting student
on field trips, and athletic
events.
Bringing our students to and from school or activities is
one of the largest and most complex responsibilities entrusted to New Buffalo
Area Schools. New Buffalo Area Schools Transportation Department is designed
with the“Safety Is Our First Priority
“ concept in mind.All bus drivers
are trained and licensed in accordance with state and national statutes and
regulations.Buses are maintained
and inspected in accordance with state and national regulations.

Annual Employee Training
Under OSHA requirements, all employees, both full and part-time are required to complete the following trainings; Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, and Sexual Harassments. Employees can complete the training on-line at Safe Schools.
