New Buffalo Elementary School

12th annual Empty Bowls taking place February 27 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the MS/HS cafeteria. Proceeds from the dinner will support the Blessings in a Backpack program founded by Water’s Edge Church which benefits the elementary school. Every Thursday, members pack bags of food for students in need so students don’t go hungry over the weekend. For a suggested donation of $10.00, you can enjoy a soup dinner prepared by the Foods and Nutrition class and take home a bowl. This is a first come, first serve basis, so soup and bowls will be available until sold out. None of the bowls will be set aside on reserve for this event. Empty Bowls is hosted by NBHS Student Senate, along with Mrs. Bowen's Foods and Nutrition class and Mrs. Jager's Pottery Club/Community Pottery Workshop members/6th grade artists. Thank you to Mrs. Jager and the NBHS Pottery Club, Community Pottery Workshop, and 6th grade artists for creating and donating the ceramic bowls!
