Welcome to New Buffalo High School — Home of the Bison!

At New Buffalo High School, excellence isn't just a goal - it’s our tradition. Whether our students are excelling in rigorous academic programs, competing on the athletic field, shining in the arts, or gaining hands-on experience through Career & Technical Education (CTE) and vibrant extracurriculars, they prove every day what makes our community extraordinary.

We set high expectations because we know the incredible potential inside every student. Backed by a world-class, dedicated staff, we provide the individualized support, rich experiences, and modern tools every teenager needs to thrive.

Beyond the Classroom: Growing the Whole Student: We believe a truly great high school experience goes far beyond test scores and report cards. At New Buffalo, we ensure every student feels known, valued, and connected. We’ve built an environment where students are empowered to:

Discover Their Passion: Explore diverse pathways, from advanced coursework to hands-on learning and specialized clubs.
Build Lifelong Skills: Develop real-world confidence, resilience, compassion, and strong self-advocacy.
Find Their Belonging: Connect with peers and mentors in a safe, supportive, and close-knit school environment.

A Connected Community: Preparing students for life after graduation takes a team effort. We are proud of our unmatched partnership between dynamic educators, engaged families, and a supportive local community. Together, we create a rich, welcoming atmosphere that makes New Buffalo such a unique place to learn, grow, and succeed.

Whether you are a returning family or looking to join our Bison community, we invite you to experience what makes our school exceptional.
