Celebrate our creative students! Every student will have artwork and literacy pieces on display for a special gallery walk.

📚 Bonus: The PTO Scholastic Book Fair will be open! (The book fair will pre-open at 5:00PM - you must use Door #24 - follow the path to the right of Student Services. However, the full event will begin at 6:00 PM - you may enter through the front doors by the flagpole at that time).

Kids Heart Challenge is Coming!

New Buffalo Elementary School families,

I am excited to help create a community of lifesavers and am asking you to join me. Sign up tonight to receive a wristband!

This year, we have an important goal to have 100% of our families learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR! It only takes a few minutes to learn, and it can make all the difference in an emergency.

1. Sign Up for Kids Heart Challenge by downloading the free “AHA Schools” app for Apple or Android or by clicking HERE.

2. Be a hero: Send 10 texts TODAY to help save lives.

3. Complete Finn’s Mission: Complete all 7 steps, learn Hands-Only CPR, and be entered to win two Super Bowl tickets!



By signing up and raising funds, you can help us earn gift certificates for physical activity and recess equipment to support the health & wellness of our school community.

BASE: Reminder that the Michiana Humane Society Pet drive ends on Wednesday, 2/18, and the Kindness club students will be delivering the donations to the Humane society during BASE tomorrow!

Any last minute donations can be brought to Mrs. Selby's office before 4pm, thank you!

BASE: Our Kindness Club is collecting donations for the Michiana Humane Society until February 18th. If you'd like to donate, you may do so to the BASE office, or drop them off in front of the Energy Bus which is just outside of the cafeteria!

Tonight, January 22, is family fit night at New Buffalo Elementary School. This is an open house style event from 6-7 pm. Please make sure all students that are participating are dressed appropriately with proper footwear. No boots will be allowed on the equipment This is for the safety of the students and the equipment. Please make sure all non school age children are supervised at all times. Upon entering the event, you will be asked to put your family’s belongings in a basket in the gym commons before entering the gym! We are excited to see you tonight!

Dear New Buffalo Families,

School will be canceled on Thursday, January 15, 2026, due to ongoing snow and hazardous travel conditions.
We understand that parent-teacher conferences are scheduled on Thursday as well and would like to proceed with them if conditions allow. We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and will determine by 11:00 AM whether conferences will take place as scheduled or if an alternate date will be needed.
