Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is a reminder that enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year must be completed as soon by FRIDAY August 28th, 2026.
Failure to complete the enrollment process may delay the distribution of important items and information, including student technology, class schedules, and locker assignments.
Also if you are in need of transportation, you must indicate that need in PowerSchool.
Please also be aware that students who are not fully enrolled should not be participating in athletics at this time. Completing enrollment promptly will help ensure that your student is ready for the start of the school year and can participate in all school activities.
Even though school meals are free, families need to continue sharing household income information on the education benefits form, available at https://newbuffalo.familyportal.cloud/
This information helps our schools receive access to federal and state funding for educational programs.
If you have already completed the enrollment process, thank you. If you still need to complete enrollment or have questions about what information is needed, please contact the Office for assistance.

We have been BUSY over the Summer!
After the School Board meeting last night, Mark German, Director of Operations did a walk through with members of the School Board to see the progress of the improvements we have made to the Middle/High School as well as the Sports Multiplex.
New Buffalo Area Schools used the General Fund Obligated Bond to make these improvements. From replacing an outdated boiler system to improvements to parking lots and sidewalks, as well as state of the art sports surfaces. These improvements will not only be great for students but the community of New Buffalo as well.
We'll keep you updated as more of these projects are completed.

She holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Social Studies Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. With over 10 years of experience in secondary education—beginning her career at West Orange High School in New Jersey—she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for student success to this role.
"I have been fortunate to work alongside incredible teachers and educators throughout my career," says Principal Fortunato. "One of the things I look forward to most is continuing to support and collaborate with the exceptional staff at New Buffalo High School as we help every student succeed."
